Volunteer Programmer Needed
We need a volunteer programmer who has good PHP / MySQL skills. Practically all of our software is written in PHP as the front end to our MySQL databases. This includes:
We are also open to having a general server administrator.
Our website is created with a custom "Tree CMS" program which we developed in the mid-2000's and have been tweaking ever since (which is why our website looks different from others).
To date, the PHP / MySQL work has been initially created by hired programmers (German and Burmese) and then further developed and tweaked by PERMANENT founder Mark Prado who is a stickler for keeping information digital and well organized in a central, shared system (except, of course, confidential or sensitive information which is kept separately in offline places), which is customized to our organization's needs.
We need at least one experienced PHP / MySQL programmer, but are willing to work with people learning PHP / MySQL. After all, it's not rocket science, and if the PERMANENT founder can do PHP / MySQL work with very limited time among all other responsibilities, then somebody focusing on PHP / MySQL work can surely do better, which is good enough. If needed, guidance can be provided.
The PERMANENT founder is very eager to find a replacement for himself at PHP/MySQL work in the trenches, though would remain intimately involved at a higher level.
