§ 4.7.4 Containerless Processing

Containerless processing would include manipulation of the material by electric and magnetic fields, and hence may push it towards the molding category.

Use of electromagnetic fields to deform electrically conductive metals (e.g., sheet metal) has commonly been endorsed for space manufacturing. This will be another field of many future patents for the first entity to experiment in space.
